So I aparently lied just a little, it's not day 2, the schedule was changed slightly. So, we're just going to go with it.
The weather outside is...frightful.
Yeah, no. It's just boring and rainy. So, I'm going to satisfy my longing for Christmas Festivities with the Patterns for Pirates Holiday Freebies!
Today is the first day of freebies and it's sooooooo good!
Looks like a regular infinity scarf. But, it has a surprise built in....
Zipper Pocket!!
I've seen these floating around, and debated figuring it out myself.
Those amazing Pirates though, they did the work for us!
I may have had *a little* bit of fun taking these pictures.
How often do you get to take a picture with $50 just hanging out in a zipper pocket?
Well, maybe you do. Me on the other hand...not so often.
Like I said, a little bit of fun. HA!
I had my daughter who takes my pictures laughing hysterically with my facial expressions.
Really though, how else are you going to show your love for an infinity scarf through pictures?
I have the best job, I get to teach sewing at a local school. Which is great until I go to leave and have to search for my keys. Unlike my husband who has pockets in his pants, I despise pockets in my clothing (except my beloved SOS pants). So, the pocket is perfect to put my keys into!
I made this beautiful scarf out of a lighter weight sweater knit.
I was worried at first that the sweater wouldn't support anything in the pocket.
To my delight, the pocket supports the weight of everything I've put in it perfectly.
I love this scarf so much that I've literally stopped almost everyone I know to show them the pocket.
So, go check out the Patterns for Pirates Blog for the tutorial on how to make this amazing Infinity Scarf!
