We don't live in the coldest climate, and while it doesn't snow all that much it does get pretty chilly here. So, winter brings out the hoodie loving side of our natures.
The Be Creative Hoodie by Ellie and Mac fulfills everything Miss. Thang could desire in a hoodie.
The ability to use one of her beloved Unicorn panels, long sleeves and wait...not a hood?!
I'm currently in a cowl mood. So, when the option to make a cowl was presented I was a happy mama. These pictures don't have a drawstring in them for compliance. However, I'll add a drawstring before too long.
I believe the final grommet size was decided to be a tad smaller than what I used. I bought a 1/2" grommet and truthfully I think it looks really cute. The vinyl I planned to use behind the grommet got here after I took final pictures, so I made due with squares of the unicorn fabric.
The piping is only along the front. I think it would be cute along the back as well though. I didn't color block the back and rather cut both the top bodice and bottom bodice the same material.
And then top stitched.
I love the look of the front and back bodice pieces!
And, I love how quick it is to put the Be Creative together.
It's seriously fast, even adding the piping.
Another reason I like the Be Creative is because it comes with different sleeve lengths, a hood and a cowl. The other version I made had short sleeves. I don't however have any of that version to share with you.
