I have SO many pairs of Knotty Pants. I tried to come up with a word that describes just how much I like them and even looked in a thesaurus. I finally came upon the word ENCHANTED.
That's how I would describe how I feel about the Knotty pants.
I am ENCHANTED by them. They are comfortable, they look good and all I want to do is wear them. I *may* want to wear them ALL. THE. TIME!
So, when it was announced that there was going to be Kids Knotty Pants my daughter was extremely excited!
Look at how AMAZING these are!
They can be "shorts; full length, wide leg hemmed pant; full length, tied hem pants; No- elastic knit waistband; Patch front pockets"
She was a tad sad that I didn't put pockets in this pair...not everything can have pockets. However, she already has the fabric picked out for her next pair WITH pockets! I may never get her back into jeans again!
This pair of shorts was actually the very first pair I made. It's still in the 100+ degrees where we live, so I appeased the weather and made shorts.
Instead of hemming the bottom, I added some woven lace to the hem instead. I debated adding stretch lace instead because the shorts are obviously a stretch material (I used French Terry), but they are wide enough that she doesn't stretch them at all when putting them on or off so I opted to use the woven lace.
Not only does she love them, but the Miss. Opinionated Teen has asked for a pair!
Apparently Knotty Pants Shorts and I rock!
