We've had a rough end of July and entire month of August around the Pacific Northwest.
There are so many fires burning near us and in Canada that our air quality is extremely poor.
So, I apologize for my summery pictures being taken inside!

I'm always on the lookout for comfortable tops.  In reality I typically wear dresses, but I love the idea of putting on leggings and a shirt and looking cute.  Truthfully, until about 4 months ago pants weren't even part of my wardrobe and I didn't have a lot of skirts that I could pair with a shirt that had a pattern on it.  So, the introduction of pants has expanded my wardrobe options exponentially!

It's not really a secret that I'm a fan of Pickle Toe Patterns.
I love how their patterns are drafted and how they fit my family.

I added length as usual, in order to make the All Seasons Tunic long enough.  I've probably said it before, but I really enjoy tops that are long enough to cover my rear so I very rarely make tops that are shorter than tunic length.

One of my favorite features of this tunic is that it has a little bit of "swing" to it.  It doesn't particularly cling to my hips but rather flows over them and doesn't make me feel self conscious.

This fabric came from Thread and Grain Threads of the Month Club.  I love Katy's choices every month because it forces me out of my comfort zone most of the time (there are occasions I would have picked out the fabric myself).  I'm a firm believer that fabric speaks and will tell you what it wants to be.  Don't laugh too much.  When I decided to sew the All Season's pattern, this fabric jumped out at me.

It's a little brighter and a tad more Hawaiian patternish (is that a word?!) than I would typically wear, but the feel of this fabric is fantastic!  I usually wear A LOT of DBP, but that's HOT and well it's been REALLY, really, REALLY hot!  So, this spun polyester (jersey feel, 97% polyester, 3% spandex, 180 gsm) is absolutely perfect for my All Season's tunic.

And now, the details!
