Baby Set by Patterns for Pirates

Oh Baby!

Sewing for babies isn't normally something I do a lot of.  My "babies" are sadly quite a bit bigger than  typical babies.  But Patterns for Pirates gave me the chance to wade back into the baby sewing waters!

And, oh how cute they are....the clothes AND the babies!

I actually made a few more sets than I have pictures for, but sadly...sometimes disasters strike and ink + fabric not only makes a very sad looking top, but it makes a very sad (and possibly irritated mom).
I'm in the process of re-making that shirt for the sweet little boy.

Anyway, back on topic.

Patterns for Pirates has FOUR new patterns!  And, because they now have 75,000+ members...WOW!  That's A LOT of Pirates!

And, to make it even better...They're FREE!
That's right, FREE!

The Petite Pegs, that's right....Pegs for the babies!
What could be cuter than a baby in leggings??
Did you think of anything?  No?
I couldn't think of anything either!

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                The Wee Lap Tee, this shirt is adorable! I can't even handle how cute this is. It could just be how small it is, but the neckline makes it so easy to get it on and off little heads and it fits so great! If you've never made baby clothes before, the tutorial makes the assembly nice and easy. The results look adorable!

The Teenie Beanie and The Babies Burpie. A baby and a hat. The two go hand in hand. Well, my babies did anyway. I really love the beanie with bear ears! I added a vinyl heart to one beanie because I thought the ears needed a bow by them. But I didn't want to change anything too much. So, vinyl it was. I thought the tinier the ears would be harder just because of their size. But really, they didn't prove to be any harder to sew at all.

And they are SO cute!

To top it off, P4P is giving away FREE cut files too! If you weren't a Pirate before, it's a good time to become one! Argh Matey! For real though, you really should join the Facebook group. It's where I jumped in and started sewing indie patterns and knits. They have great patterns!

 This itty bitty Miss. is wearing a mix of Cotton Lycra and Double Brushed Poly.  I did the Itty Bitty & Pretty when Facebook wasn't cooperating and letting P4P load the cut files and I needed to get the vinyl on the shirt.  So, pretend it's the one from above.

 She has on a 9 month wee lap tee graded to a 12 month at the waist, 12 month length.  Her petite pegs are a straight 12 month width and length, as is the hat.

 {fabric for this is from Elevated Fashion Fabrics:  they are on Facebook. }

This outfit is a 9 month width and 12 month length for both the wee lap tee and the petite pegs.  The beanie is a 9 month.  It is made out of Cotton Lycra.

{Striped floral is from Knitpop }

I couldn't help but share these photos.  I think the bears make them so cute!

 This great pink stretch corduroy and floral cotton lycra is in a straight 6 month size  It is so girly and not 100% pink!  Well, except the leggings of course.  I couldn't resist the corduroy though.  It's some amazing stuff!

{Floral fabric is from Purple Seamstress, Pink Corduroy is from Elevated Fashion Fabrics}

 This outfit is SO tiny!  When the baby's grandma sent me his measurements, I honestly didn't believe them.  He's a month old and I didn't think a baby could really be that small!  But, they were THE perfect size!  Both his mama and his grandma were a little excited that he finally had something that actually fit him!  They look a tad bit like doll clothes and if you look at the size of the bear in the picture compared to what it looks like above in the other two pictures, you can see just how small this outfit really is.

The Wee Lap Tee and Beanie is made out of Cotton Lycra and the Petite Pegs are made out of French Terry. {Moose/Bear French Terry from Raspberry Creek Fabrics, Red Fabric is from Peek A Boo Fabric}
